Aaargh! Welcome to SWEET POTATO / IRISH POTATO, a blog of all things strange, queasiness-inducing, humorous, newsy, inane, and off the wall. It'll be me (jim) and my sister (kate) posting here. I'm sure you'll grow familiar with our sense of humor and outlook on life, but first a bit about myself.

Born in 1988, Jim began his life by learning not only to walk, but also to talk and eat solid foods. Within only two decades, he's mastered the art of reading English, speaking Jive (not really), and growing facial hair. He has searched for dinosaur bones, clerked a bookstore, and attended both an art school and a tech school. He reads science fiction and makes music.
